SumStone Privacy Policy

Effective November 2, 2026

SumStone is made by MerryStone, Inc. ("we"). This policy explains what happens to your information when you use SumStone on iPhone.

The short version: we don't collect any of your data.

SumStone has no account and no bank login, and it doesn't send your information to us or anyone else.

What SumStone stores, and where

When you import a statement file, SumStone reads it on your iPhone and saves your transactions inside the app on your device. That includes dates, descriptions, amounts, and categories. That information stays on your device. We can't see it, and we have no servers that store it.

No tracking

SumStone contains no analytics, advertising, or tracking tools. We don't sell, share, or rent any information, because we don't receive any.

Files you choose

SumStone only opens files you pick yourself, such as a CSV or statement file from the Files app. It doesn't access your photos, contacts, location, or other apps' data.

Purchases

If you buy the SumStone unlock, Apple processes the payment through the App Store. We never receive your payment details. Apple's privacy policy covers that transaction.

Backups

If iCloud Backup is on, Apple may include SumStone's data in your device backup, as it does for most apps. That backup is governed by your Apple account and Apple's privacy policy. We can't access it.

Deleting your data

Use Reset in the app, or delete SumStone from your iPhone. Either one removes your data from the device. There's nothing to delete on our side.

Children

SumStone isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll post the new version on this page with a new effective date.
